Our Policies

  • All work submitted is read and viewed anonymously and respectfully
  • We ask that works with graphic or triggering content include content warnings
  • We do not tolerate content that promotes hate or bigotry directed to individuals or groups of people
  • The editors must foster an environment where constructive criticism of our team’s potential biases and failings is encouraged

Responsibilities of editors

  • Attend all editor meetings unless otherwise stated
  • Plan and organize campus workshops (i.e: open mics, writing workshops).
  • Manage media outlets (email, Instagram, website, etc.).
  • Offer revisions for submissions.
  • Organize and publish the semester’s issue (i.e., coordinating efforts with the publishing company, formatting in InDesign, etc.).
  • Professionally represent The Grinnell Review.

Hiring policies

  • Applicants must be current students at Grinnell College
  • Applicants must apply through ADP
  • Potential editors will be interviewed for positions.
  • New editors are expected to attend all meetings
